A discussion addressing “The Vietnam War, the October 1967 Dow Sit-In, and Its Aftermath & Legacy” will be held this evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Madison Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. Join veterans of the 1967 UW DOW Sit-In as they share their recollections and reflect upon footage from the acclaimed 1979 documentary, “The War at Home”. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the historic UW student sit-in against recruiters for Dow Chemical, the U.S. manufacturer of napalm. Hosted by the Peregrine Forum. The City of Madison Parks Division will have a public input meeting to discuss the proposed restroom replacement and sitework improvements at Olbrich Park near Walter Street, this evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Whitehorse Middle School, 218 Schenk Street.
