This is the Insurgent Radio Kiosk for Tuesday, September 25th
It’s today’s Action Calendar!
Decluttering your home? The Literacy Network is collecting used books to re-sell to raise funds to support its classes and tutors and provide textbooks for free adult programs that help raise literacy. Donated books can be dropped off at the Literacy Network office, 701 Dane Street, preferably between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesdays. Contact 244-3911 for guidelines on the types of materials that can be accepted.
The West Madison Senior Coalition will offer meals to those 60 and older on Wednesday, September 26th, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Meadowridge Library, 5740 Raymond Road. There is a suggested minimum donation of $4.00, but participants can contribute what’s affordable. Transportation is also available with an additional $1.00 donation. Meal and bus reservations or cancellations should be made today by calling 238-0196.
WORT is looking for a volunteer receptionist to staff the front desk on alternate Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to noon. We also need a number of fill-in receptionists who can be available on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. and have e-mail access. For more information, e-mail email@example.com with Volunteer Receptionist in the subject line. Or call Glenn at 608-256-2001. If leaving a message, please include your phone number and e-mail address. Thanks for supporting WORT.
