All are invited to a discussion of the new book, “Crazy Horse: The Lakota Warrior’s Life and Legacy” tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sequoya Library, 4340 Tokay Boulevard. Meet Crazy Horse family members Floyd Clown Sr. and son Floyd Clown Jr., plus author William Matson, and learn about the family’s oral history that provided the basis for the book. Join the Dane County TimeBank to celebrate a sharing economy at its fall Sharefest from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 30th at the Warner Park Shelter, 2930 North Sherman Avenue. The event is free and open to all. Enjoy activities and workshops that will help you feel informed and inspired. Sharefest will kick off with a potluck brunch from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by a produce and seed swap, an art session for kids and workshops. Phone 663-0400 for information.
The Respite Center is a safe place for kids, ages birth to fourteen, whose families are under stress or in crisis. They are looking for volunteers to play with kids four hours a week. Training is required. Call 244-5730 for details.
