The Dane County Farmer’s Market will move outdoors to the Capitol Square on Saturday. Labor Radio caught up with some farmer’s at the last indoor market at Garver Feed Mill last Saturday, April 9.
This last indoor market feature new products as Spring warms up. Gretchen Kruse of Hickory Hill Farms spoke about the challenge in getting the work done, sometimes bringing in additional labor, and creating new products.
Joe Landis of Fungi Farmers grows mushrooms and mushrooms products.
The farmers have more products to sell as Spring warms up and the sellers and shoppers look forward to the first market.
The Dane County Farmers’ Market opens at 6:15 Saturday morning and runs until 1:45pm on the Capitol Square in Madison.
