The Letter Carrier Food Drive was held on the second Saturday in May last week. It had not been held the last three years locally due to the pandemic and short-staffing at the Postal Service. The result was a significant decline in collections to about 25% of the peak year. The final volumes are not yet known. Still, a large amount of food was collected and Labor Radio interviewed Helen Osborn-Senatus, director of the River Food Pantry to discuss the food drive.
