MADISON (WORT) — Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne will announce Tuesday afternoon whether Madison Police Officer Matt Kenny was legally authorized to use deadly force against 19-year-old Tony Robinson during an incident on March 6th. Ozanne is also expected to reveal long-awaited details on what occurred in the moments leading up to the police shooting of the unarmed teenager.

The announcement will be made under tight security at the Dane County Public Safety Building and is only open to pre-registered members of the media. Dylan Brogan reports.
In preparation for Tuesday’s announcement, Madison Mayor Paul Soglin’s office is promoting an educational video about when police can use lethal force.
