Would you bike more around Madison if it weren’t for a particularly sketchy intersection? What If you had a more connected bike path network? Earlier this year a group of local cyclists launched Madison Bikes, an advocacy group with the goal of making the city’s bicycling network more accessible and comfortable for people. In fact, the group is advocating some changes to the city’s network that they believe could double the number of people who use bikes for transportation. Grant Foster and Robbie Webber join Brian Standing in the studio to update us about the project.
The group’s website is madisonbikes.org.
