In this edition of Madison Book Beat, host George Dreckmann speaks with Jacob Slichter, author of the book So You Wanna Be a Rock & Roll Star: How I Machine-Gunned a Roomful Of Record Executives and Other True Tales from a Drummer’s Life (Broadway Books, 2004). It’s a memoir that recounts Slichter’s experiences as the drummer of the Minneapolis rock trio Semisonic, and their journey through the recording industry.
