After redistricting took hold earlier this year, several Madison alders found themselves no longer living in the district they represent. This means that they will be able to finish off their term, but come next year, will have to fight against the alder of their new district if they intend to stay on the board.
Additionally, two alders have already put in their resignation, with a third on the way as former Council President Syed Abbas looks to run for state Assembly. This means major changes across the entire board.
To dig deeper into these changes, WORT Producer Nate Wegehaupt spoke with Dylan Brogan, senior news writer for Isthmus, for this week’s Isthmus on WORT.
