Two years ago, Jenie Gao gave up a secure, full-time job in manufacturing to take up a career as an artist. Since then, she’s done residencies in Argentina and Chile and now lands at the Madison Central Library as the Bubbler Artist in Residence for January and February. Jenie Gao joins Brian Standing in the studio to talk about her printmaking, writing and her plans for a migratory bird installation at the library. You can meet Jenie Gao by stopping by her Open Studios at the Central Library’s Bubbler Room. Jenie will also be giving classes on woodblock and foam printing. Check madisonbubbler.org for details and schedules.
