The Respite Center is a Madison-based, non-profit child care and emergency counseling service. Like many community organizations over the past year, Respite has had to shift its operations to account for COVID-19.
For more on the organization, and how it’s fared since the onset of COVID-19, our Producer Jonah Chester spoke with Erin Kasik and Lauren Silber — two child care specialists at Respite — and Kristin Forde, the program’s supervisor.
The Respite Center is currently conducting a “Rally for Respite” Fundraiser. The organization is aiming to raise $30,000 to fund a year’s worth of food, diapers, and other essential supplies to shelter and care for kids at Respite.
