Senator Fred Risser, who represents Wisconsin District 26, is currently the longest-serving state senator in the U.S. Earlier this year, he announced that he would not be seeking re-election, and there is a new crop of seven Democratic candidates running to fill the seat, which represents most of the city of Madison and the village of Shorewood Hills.
