WORT welcomes Mrs. Jade Iseri-Ramos as our newest producer of A Public Affair.
Jade comes to the position with copious reporting, producing, and audio experience, as well as a deep understanding of nonprofit community radio. She’s been a reporter for our 6pm Local News show for almost four years, contributes to several WORT talk programs, and was our substitute producer for the program.
Jade also coordinated WORT’s virtual series of debates with local candidates during the spring 2021 election. She and WORT received an award for that project — Best Original Digital Content from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, which is likely WORT’s first award for digital content.
Outside of WORT, Jade is the producer of several podcasts. She’s a producer for the podcast Human Powered from Wisconsin Humanities, which explores humanities in action across the state, as well as the podcast Collegeland, which spotlights the people who work for colleges and universities and strive to make them better. She is editor of the writer-themed Cabana Chats podcast, and freelance producer for Love Wisconsin.
Jade began her producing responsibilities in October 2022, taking over for longtime producer Richelle Wilson. Jade is responsible for booking and logistics for our weekday call-in talk program, runs the online and podcast presence for the program, as well as its social media feeds (Twitter, Facebook).
Jade hails from the West Coast, where she grew up listening to community radio KBOO. She enjoys an endless supply of books, kickball, plants, and adventures with her dogs, cats, and partner.
Have a social, cultural, or political issue you want to hear discussed on the program? Contact Jade at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com, or call (608) 321-9588 between the hours of 11am and 2pm.
