Today Patty is joined by Kermit Hovey and Spencer Schumacher to discuss elections, climate change, and Middleton Climate Referendum. The Middleton Climate referendum is the first of its kind in the nation. The questions on the ballot include: 1), Should the city of Middleton reduce the risks of global warming through its policy decisions and actions? And 2), should the city of Middleton endorse a federal carbon fee and dividend program as part of a national strategy to reduce the risks of global warming?
Kermit Hovey is the coordinator of the Middle Climate Referendum project and a climate educator and advocate for the Citizens’ Climate Lobby. Spencer Schumacher chairs the City of Middleton Sustainability Committee.
