The WORT Programming Committee has representatives on the air to discuss potential new programming changes at the radio station and to solicit and answer calls about them. The Programming Committee is made up of WORT news and music volunteers, plus news and music staff, plus one listener-sponsor. It’s role at the station is to monitor the program schedule, make changes to it when necessary, and review requests for new types of programs.

About Access Hour
WORT turns its airwaves over to members of the community. The show opens up radio production to people that have typically not been on the air before. The show is completely different from one week to the next. Guests have included community groups, musicians, aspiring DJs, story-tellers, call-in discussions, radio plays, live bands, fans of niche music, and lots of other topics.
