Action Calendar
Victor Castro and USgathering will be presenting a new installation at Madison Central Library’s gallery this September. Made from simple materials generated from everyday consumption, the installation will be created with one specific item donated by the Madison community: tin cans. From now through August 31st, bring your empty tin cans to your nearest neighborhood library, and “Together We Can” facilitate awareness about social issues regarding over-consumption, waste, sustainability, and the future of community-sourced art. Get an insider’s view of Olbrich’s outdoor gardens during a free guided garden stroll. These will vary somewhat according to the season to reflect the garden areas that are at peak interest. No registration is required. Strolls are held rain or shine and will be cancelled only in the event of dangerous lightning. This is every Sunday through September from 1:30 to 3pm. Meet at the Olbrich Garden entrance, 3330 Atwood Avenue. For more info, visit olbrich.org.
