On Saturday, July 25th, the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin will host the Capital City 5K for Organ, Tissue, and Eye Donation. The event brings together over one thousand donor family members, transplant recipients, and living donors to celebrate the gift of life and promote donation. The 5K, USATF certified course, begins at the State Capitol, travels along Lake Monona, and finishes at Goodman Park for the award ceremony and pool party. Individual and team registration is now open at capitalcity5k.org.
Every Friday from 6 to 8pm is an English conversation time for international students, native English speakers, and families. Activities include short presentations on American and world cultures, English pronunciation, informal conversation, and more. This is at 944 Gorham Street.
