It’s today’s Action Calendar!
Tomorrow afternoon is a Vigil Against The Drones. This is outside the gates of Camp Williams, Volk Field from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. To get there, take the Camp Douglas exit off Interstate 90/94 between Mauston and Tomah. Take County Road C to the northeast. You will see the base straight ahead, but follow County Road C to the right to the picnic wayside. Gather at the wayside between 3 and 3:15 for intros and to review the vigil plan, then proceed together to the gates of the base for a solemn one-hour vigil to remember those killed by drones. Participants can stand in silence or read poems and stories about the effects of drone warfare. In case of inclement weather, or for more info, or for carpooling info, call Joy at 608-239-4327.
You can make an impact on the life of a senior adult by assisting them to remain independent and living in their own home. Volunteers are matched with a senior and help with light housekeeping or other tasks once a week or bi-weekly. To get involved, contact Laura with the Madison Coalitions of Older Adults at 608-243-5252 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
