Tomorrow at noon is a talk titled “The Movimiento Campesino do Cajibio in Colombia,” with Marylen Serna Salinas. Salinas is spokeswoman for the Congreso de los Pueblos, a grassroots social and political movement in Colombia that resists extractive policies leading to displacement, and focuses on the defense of life, land and community, environmental and economic sustainability, national sovereignty, and peace with social justice. Tomorrow is another “Vigil Against the Drones” outside the gates of Camp Williams – Volk Field. Gather at 3pm to review the plan for the vigil, and then process together to the gates of the base for a solemn one-hour vigil to remember those killed by drones.
