The Havens Center Visiting Speakers Program presents Jon Shelton, Assistant Professor of Democracy and Justice Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, giving two lectures this week. Tomorrow’s lecture is “Teacher Strikes, the Public Interest, and the Neoliberal Turn of the 1970s,” at 4pm in room 206, Ingraham Hall, 1155 Observatory Drive. On Wednesday, Shelton lectures on “‘Compulsory Unionism’ in the Public Sector: Free Market Activism and the Eclipse of Labor-Liberalism,” at 4pm in room 8417 Social Science, 1180 Observatory Drive.
