Tomorrow, the UW Department of Comparative Literature and Folklore Studies sponsors a lecture titled “A Type of Struggle, A Type of Verse: The Revolutionary Poetics of Sa’id Soltanpur.” The lecturer is Professor Samad Alavi, from the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the University of Washington in Seattle. Tomorrow is another “Vigil Against the Drones” outside the gates of Camp Williams – Volk Field. Gather at 3pm to review the plan for the vigil, and then process together to the gates of the base for a solemn one-hour vigil to remember those killed by drones.
