In October, the Fair Housing Center of Greater Madison will offer a free fair housing training seminar for owners and managers of rental property. The seminar will include information about the protected classes and prohibited practices delineated by local, state and federal fair housing laws; reasonable accommodations and modifications for tenants with disabilities; and more. You can make an impact on the life of a senior by assisting them to remain independent and living in their own home. Volunteers are matched with a senior and help with light housekeeping or other tasks once a week or bi-weekly.
