Today through September 27th, a Drone Quilt Exhibit is on display at the Wisconsin State Capitol in downtown Madison. Madison area peace groups will display quilts, posters, and literature to draw attention to the consequences of U.S. drone warfare. This Friday at noon, a presentation of sponsoring groups and a reading-of-the-names of drone warfare victims will take place in the Capitol Rotunda. More info at wilpf-madison.org.
Tonight, Repower Madison hosts the release and presentation of “Empowered: A Tale of Three Cities Taking Charge of Their Energy Future,” by national energy expert Bentham Paulos. The book highlights Madison’s role in a national utility trend and compares Madison to other cities.This free event is at 7pm at Goodman Community Center, 149 Waubesa Street.
