Four candidates are seeking to fill three open seats on the Monona Grove School Board. The board consists of seven members and each member serves a three-year term. The Monona Grove School District is comprised of three elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. They also oversee a Liberal Arts Charter School.
WORT Producer Nina Kravinsky spoke with each candidate about the issues that matter to them and why they want to run.
Eric Hartz works as a Campus Connect Program coordinator and teacher in the Madison School District. He is also an adjunct professor at Edgewood College.
Andrew McKinney is a technical assistant for quality assurance at Maximus, a provider of child welfare eligibility recommendations for the Wisconsin Department of Children and Family Services.
Jeff Simpson is an incumbent on the Monona Grove School Board and he is running for another term.
Jason McCutchin is a controller at law-firm Haskins Short and Brindley and has been elected to the board twice before.
The election will be held on April 3rd.
