Tonight, PNM’ers Matt Blackburn, Josh Mitchell, and Ary Clarke discuss two recent science studies with a common theme – microbiome. One involves a study where Fecal Microbial Transplantation (FMT) caused the death of a participant that was not expected by the FDA. The other was an unexpected growth of a particular microbe, a bacteria, in a few individual marathon runners. And finally the crew sums up their conversation talking about probiotics.
