MADISON (WORT) — For months, Republican lawmakers have delayed progress on Governor Scott Walker’s budget proposal until more accurate revenue numbers were released. GOP leaders were hoping the new revenue projections would help them stave off cuts to K-12 education and the $300 million cut to the University of Wisconsin system. The new numbers came out Wednesday and they won’t be the fiscal lifeline Republicans were banking on. Dylan Brogan reports.
