Next year, Dane County’s district lines will be redrawn by a non-partisan commission. The commission will use data from the 2020 U.S. Census and input from the community to redraw lines for the County’s Board of Supervisors through 2030.
For more on the redistricting effort, and why its organizers hope to serve as a model for the rest of Wisconsin, WORT Producer Jonah Chester spoke with Brian Standing, a Senior Planner with the Dane County Department of Planning and Development (and WORT host), as well as Ken Opin, Chair of Dane County’s Redistricting Commission.
