The nurses at UW Health have been attempting to re-form a union since 2014, when the Board of Directors for the hospital system let the contract expire.
But nurses met with CEO of UW Health Alan Kaplan earlier today to give their pitch, and to show how many nurses have voiced support for a union.
WORT Producer Nate Wegehaupt spoke with UW Health Nurse Courtney Younkle about the meeting, and about what happens next for the nurses.
