Once you get the information, how do you check for credibility?
Everyone can experience low health literacy – the ability to understand information about their health – especially while using the internet and under stress.
Wisconsin Health Literacy, a division of Wisconsin Literacy, Inc., raises awareness of the importance of health literacy statewide and nationally.
On February 22nd Wisconsin Health Literacy was on The Access Hour with the following:
- Talked with one of our library partners Deer Park Library about how our health online: finding information you can trust workshop impacted their community;
- Spoke with Dr. Bethany Howlett about online information related to COVID and resources that can help you, and
- Discussed upcoming health programming that could be available in your community.
