Renowned arborist R. Bruce Allison is a professor in the Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology at UW-Madison, cooperative researcher with the USDA Forest Products Lab, author of several books, and all-around expert on trees. He joins Friday Eight O’Clock Buzz host Jonathan Zarov in the studio to talk about the human-tree connection and give the stories of some of Madison’s most notable trees, from Aldo Leopold’s “good oak,” to civil-war era trees.
