Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne is the latest candidate to emerge in Wisconsin’s 2014 attorney general’s race. Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced in early October that he will not be seeking a third term in office, setting the stage for Wisconsin’s first open attorney general’s race in over a decade. Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel has already lined up on the Republican side. Democratic Assembly member Jon Richards has also launched a campaign to be Van Hollen’s successor.
In Our Backyard producer Dylan Brogan asks Ismael Ozanne about the issues he’ll focus on if elected and about being labeled an “extreme partisan” by the Republican Party of Wisconsin.
