For today’s show, Friday host Esty Dinur is joined by Jill Ferguson, a Milwaukee-based water protector who was recently arrested with violent tactics at Camp Firelight for her participation in an action protesting Enbridge’s Line 3.
Jill describes the brutal way she was treated by deputy Alexander Yocum and talks with Esty about police violence against water protectors and news from the escalating climate catastrophe, including California wildfires, Hurricane Ida, and more.
Jill Ferguson (aka “Badass Grandma”) is a lifelong activist who has been standing against injustice since she protested the Vietnam War as a twelve-year-old. She is on the steering committees of Peace Action of Wisconsin and 350 Milwaukee.
