On today’s show, hear from Iraq War veteran and community organizer Vince Emanuele. He and Allen discuss war and US military culture, wealth inequality and alternatives to capitalism, the urgent timeline of addressing climate change, thinking beyond the Trump and Russia-dominated news cycle, and battling apathy and cynicism while building meaningful coalitions.
Vincent Emanuele is an activist, writer, and community organizer. Born and raised in the Rust Belt, he joined the United States Marine Corps in 2002. In 2005, he refused orders for a third deployment to Iraq and began working with the anti-war movement. He is the co-founder of PARC (Politics Art Roots Culture) and a member of the Michigan City Social Justice Group and Veterans for Peace.
