With last week’s Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v Wade, Wisconsin has reverted back to its 19th-century ban on abortions, and overnight abortion access in Wisconsin was cut off.
With many people struggling to figure out what happens now, WORT Producer Nate Wegehaupt spoke with Ingrid Andersson, Co-Founder of POWERS, or Pregnancy Options Wisconsin, a nonprofit organization helping people navigate their pregnancies.
A nurse-midwife herself, Andersson talks about what POWERS is doing to help people find abortion access, and about possible slivers of light coming through the dark clouds of the ruling.
