Tonight, the Perpetual Notion Machine welcomes Travis Tangen as our guest to give us a preview of this year’s Wisconsin Science Festival. The festival runs from Thursday, October 20 to Sunday, October 23, with over 200 events scheduled throughout the state. Travis works as the Education and Outreach Manager at WARF, the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation. WARF has been instrumental in organizing and coordinating events at the festival through creative demonstrations and bringing in distinguished scientists from across the country. Travis mentions some of this year’s featured events that includes “Science Arcade Night” on Friday, Oct. 21 starting at 6 pm in the Discovery Building. This is your chance to play vintage arcade games, classic pinball, virtual reality from Oculus Rift, and more. Also, Travis describes how the festival has grown to hold events in more places around Wisconsin, including more rural areas that have a special local or regional character.
