MADISON (WORT) — Wisconsin Republicans on the Joint Finance Committee passed a major education package without any support from Democrats. The GOP plan restores some of the funds for K-12 public education that were slated for a cut in Governor Scott Walker’s budget proposal but also expands funding for Wisconsin’s private school voucher program.
