When you walk into the Ruth Davis Design Gallery in Nancy Nicholas Hall on the UW Madison Campus, contributor Gianofer (JON nah fer) Fields strongly suggests you take advantage of the large red chairs. Once you see the large moving hand drawn images that cover the walls, you’re gonna want to spend a little time absorbing the information. The exhibition is entitled Design for Civil Society: Fostering Dialogue for Completely Human Agents. It was created by Scott Townsend, Professor of Graphic and Experiential Design at North Carolina State University and Dr. Maria Patsarika (POTS ah REE ka), Institute Associate at University of the Arts London’s Social Design Institute. In this episode of Radio Chipstone the good doctors discuss the collaborative nature of building a community identity.
