For many of us. Ella’s Deli on East Washington Ave signaled our exit or return to Madison. The colorful circus style restaurant complete with Merry Go Round held space in our hearts and was a true Icon. Ella’s is gone but the colorful whimsy returns thanks to Bill Rebholtz. Tasked with creating a new facade for the Ella, Rebholtz gleaned inspiration from the community surrounding the new four story apartment building. In this episode of Radio Chipstone, Rebholtz tells contributor Gianofer (JON nah fer) Fields how he tackled such a huge project.
