If you are ever lucky enough to watch a Metalsmith do their work with molten metal, it may look like a one-sided dangerous endeavor. According to Artist, Joseph Pine…that’s not necessarily the case. Pine is a Metalsmith and he says the process is closer to a loving relationship than a battle.
In this archival edition of Radio Chipstone, Pine tells contributor gianofer fields that working with metal is more than just creating what you want. It’s also asking the metal what it wants to be.
