Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Judge Brett Kavanaugh both testified in front of the U.S. Senate judiciary committee in Washington Thursday.
Ford says Kavanaugh — who is nominated for a life term on the US Supreme Court — attempted to rape her at a party during high school.
She recounted the incident to Senators, and to the American public, in an emotionally charged hearing today.
Kavanaugh denies Ford’s accusations, and calls them politically motivated.
Here in Madison, protesters gathered outside U.S. Senator Ron Johnson’s office, asking him not to vote to confirm Kavanaugh. One of the speakers at that event was Rape Crisis Center executive Director Erin Thornley Parisi. She spoke with WORT producer Nina Kravinsky the day of the hearings.
