When disaster strikes, who profits? This is the driving question behind Antony Loewenstein’s book Disaster Capitalism: Making a Killing Out of Catastrophe (Verso, 2015), and a later documentary of the same name.
Today, a rebroadcast from October 2015, when host Esty Dinur spoke with Loewenstein about how governments and corporations profit from disaster.
