In this three-part program, today’s theme focuses on responding to President Donald Trump’s recent executive orders and how they will effect citizens.
First up, Shabnam Lotfi discusses Trump’s travel ban on seven predominantly Muslim countries. Lotfi is a University of Wisconsin Law School graduate who specializes exclusively in immigration law. Over the past few years, she has worked with employers, families, students, exchange visitors, physicians, investors, and others on their immigration issues.
Then Esty discusses the executive order affecting Standing Rock and pipelines in the U.S. with Deborah Mulligan, a local lawyer who is trained as legal observer by the ACLU.
Reese Erlich joins to discuss the presidential directive that will ask to engage the Islamic State more aggressively.
