In the last installment of her month-long series on the topic of forgiveness, what forgiveness means to all different people, and “unforgive-mess,” Wednesday host Lilada Gee talks about restorative justice as a form of forgiveness.
Her guests are District 23 Supervisor Shelia Stubbs, and Ron Johnson, Coordinator for the Dane County Community Restorative Courts. And, on the phone is Dr. Jenn, a forgiveness counselor joining the conversation all month long.
What is restorative justice? It’s the concept that when a crime is committed, there is also harm done to communities, and that the victim and community affected by a crime should weigh in to repair the harm done by a crime. The Dane County CRC’s mission is to Repair Harm, Reduce Risk, and Rebuild Community.
