This week on Queery, host Amira Pierotti speaks with Alex Corona and Hanna Homestead, two advocates for Wisconsin sex workers.
Their guests are two members of Rights Not Rescue, a queer collective working to improve the safety and wellbeing of commercial sex workers, trafficking survivors, and communities harmed and stigmatized by the criminalization of sexual labor in Wisconsin.
About the guests:
Alex Corona (she/her) is an advocate, community organizer, and writer who advocates for the safety and inclusion of trans folks in Milwaukee and across the world. She is an advocate for trans justice, abolishing the prison industrial complex, sexual health education, bodily autonomy, and the rights of sex workers. Hanna Homestead (she/her) is a Policy Associate at the Center for International Policy, where she conducts research, data analysis, and serves as a resource to the public, media, and legislators on security-related issues.
