Maureen Miner and Jen Davie from the Literacy Network of Dane County discuss the 24th Run for Literacy. Funds help end the cycle of illiteracy by walking, running or volunteering. Funds raised from the run will benefit Dane County adults that are committed to improving their reading, writing and speaking skills to be better equipped to succeed in the workplace, understand health issues, and provide supportive environments for the education of their children. The Literacy Network provides free classes and with the help of more than 500 volunteer tutors over 1,000 adults are helped each year.
