The last time our Eight O’Clock Buzz host Brian Standing spoke with Bill Whitford, he was hoping to attract the attention of the U.S. Supreme Court with a lawsuit charging the State of Wisconsin with an illegal gerrymander. Since then, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case, marking the first time the Court will rule on the issue of partisan gerrymandering in over ten years. Not all the news was good for the plaintiffs, though. After agreeing to take the case the Supreme Court also blocked a lower-court order directing the state legislature to have new congressional district maps in place by November 1st. Joining Brian once again with a reaction and an update is plaintiff Bill Whitford.
