When you think of famous Wisconsin environmentalists, the names John Muir, Aldo Leopold and Gaylord Nelson leap immediately to mind. But what about Walt Bresette, Jenny and Mary Thunder, or Wanda McFaggen? Less familiar, perhaps, at least to some of us, but environmental heroes, certainly, especially to fellow Native Americans. UW Professor, PBS journalist and author Patty Loew wants to fill in that blank spot in Wisconsin conservation history and give Native American environmentalists the credit they deserve. Her new book is entitled “Seventh Generation Earth Ethics.” Patty Loew joined the Monday Buzz on November 17, 2014.
