Madison band Sir! No Sir! has been bringing its self-described riff rock/punk/ metal sound to venues
across Madison for years, and now the band is gracing our very own studio on June 26th! The group will
play live at WORT from 10-11pm on Ted Offensive’s Friday on My Mind, Songs of Safety and Manners.
The group was created by Nate Onsrud (The Bin Men, Underculture), as he came out from behind the
drum kit to play guitar and sing lead vocals. He is joined by Jeramaya Wunderlin on bass and Tony
Leskinen on drums and vocals. Collectively, they have created a sound that they describe as a “no-holds-barred, socially charged, in your face rock explosion!”
Tunes from their 2013 album “Combating the Carnival” are available on the band’s bandcamp profile at
https://sirnosir.bandcamp.com/. The album features five songs that are as melodic as they are loud,
featuring catchy guitar riffs paired with guttural vocals. “Cobra Verde” and “Daughters of Dissention”
include samples at their beginnings that make the songs dynamic while also prefacing what is to come in the songs themselves. Additionally, many of the band’s videos, both live and pre-recorded, can be found online, including the intense video for their song “Intolerant of Intolerance”:
More information about the group can be found on their Facebook (SirNoSir) and reverbnation (https://www.reverbnation.com/sirnosir) profiles.
