Kabzuag Vaj was born in Laos and came to this country as a refugee child with her mother and siblings. She is co-founder and co-executive director of Freedom, Inc., which works with low-income communities of color in Dane County.
José Luis Granados Ceja is a writer and photojournalist based in Mexico City. His work focuses on social and labor movements in Latin America. He has written for Truthout, Peoples Dispatch, and many other digital publications.
Laura Morel is an immigration reporting fellow for Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting. Her work focuses on migrant children and families.
