Earlier this afternoon, graduate workers from the Teaching Assistants’ Association (TAA) occupied the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s administration building to demand fair pay and improved policies for graduate employees. For the first segment of today’s show, TAA representatives Megan Kennedy and Ellen LeClere report live from the sit-in at Bascom Hall to explain the graduate workers’ demands.
In the second half of the program, we speak to Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, director of the documentary Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am. The film is screening as part of the Wisconsin Film Fest on Saturday, April 6 at 11:00 AM at Shannon Hall (Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St). Tickets and information available at 2019.wifilmfest.org.
